Back in the early 90's I had a similar one that I wore out, after that I kept looking for another, repurchasing different brands, none of them lasted long.
Either they were too big, they didn't work well, they weren't sharp enough,they were all just junk.
So I saw this one on line and the reviews so took a chance. It's like the 1st one I had, only better.
I can hear it cutting,it's small it's easier to use.
I would definitely recommend it.

I have used one or two other trimmers that cost more money, and were not as effective.
i decided it was time to shop around for a new ear/nose hair trimmer, figured 10 years is good enough length of time for the one i have and wondered if the blades in it were getting dull. so purvhasing this onre for a couple reasons.
the one this is taking the place of is a Wahl nose,ear trimmer, that is about the same size and also uses 1 aa battery. That i also pasid 10$ usd for in a store.
id been casualy shopping around for a new one for about 6,months, maybe longer, both online, and in retail stores. And call me crazy but i think paying anythin more than 20 bucks for a nose ear trimmer is well crazy.
so i received this trimmer yesterday, and was kinda surprised at how nice and professionially packaged it was for being 9.99 it was what youd find hanging on a hook or on a shelf at a retail store. so that was a nice lil surpise, it came with a small phamphlet and a cleaning brush. its comapact, and it also has a tinted protective cap that fits securely on top of the it to protect the cutting head, which my wahl didnt include that lol so that was another neat bonus.
the trimmer has a nice feel to it, it doesnt feel liker a cheap trimmer, the battery cover is both easy to remove and it securely locks upon closing it.
the on/off switch slides easliy and feels secure when sliding it to the on or off position.
the trimming head works great, upon hearing it whir to life after turning it on the first time, it seemed to sound like it spun slower and maybe didnt have as much "Umph" in it, compared to my wahl, so i put them side by side and thrw a brand new battery of the same brand and size in the wahl, and my thought was accurate. the wahls whiring sound was faster than this one. but thats not what matters
i forgot to include another reason i was shopping for a new trimmer,, the wahl since i bought it, seemed to bog down and it also required frequent cleaning of the both the blade assembly and the guard (the trimmer head was nremoveable, and was in 2 parts the cutting blade assembly and guard housing. and to clean the blade amnd guard whle it didnt reqwuire a lot of time it needed to be frequently (at least once during each trimming session, like between trimmimng nose and the ears.
this lil guy though despite the ninitial concern of it spinning at a lower rpm, it ended up not being a valid concern uponn fisrt time using it, as it didnt bog down orn anytjhing.
this trimmersn cleaning instructions say to just use sink fauceet and a slow med steady flow of water,
so i turned on faucet enough to get a full stream of water flowing but not full blast or anything, and put the trimmer head real briefly within the water flow and i then lightly tapped the trimmer head on the counter top and was surprised at how well it cleaned it out, and then repeated the pricess a second time and then trimmed ears.
all in all for $10 usd (9.99 listed technically) im extrmely pleased with this nose and ear hair trimmer
and if you are looking for a quality trimmer thats greatr size for traveling ill add, and at a very reasonable price point. Look no further.
i will add that ill edit my revierw if needed, should it fail prematurely etc.
i dont think ill need to worry about that though.

It was also painless - I only experienced a mild tugging when I used the device on my nose. Note that it doesn't come with any instructions but it is pretty simple to use (switch on).
No more old man hair hanging out of my nose and ears !

If you are considering this trimmer, buy it! You will be very satisfied.
It trims noise and ear very cleary and very quickly.
Removing the head: if you're right-handed, hold the body in your left hand, grasp the shiny plastic collar with your right, and (looking head-on at the cutter), rotate firmly counterclockwise. The collar will give a good "snap" and you can rotate maybe an eighth-turn so you can remove the cover. Engraved in the plastic at the cutter end of the body is a curved arrow and a dot, indicating the direction you should turn the cover when re-installing--the dot indicates you'll encounter a nice, firm detent, which caused the "snap" during removal.

It appears there are 2 different products here being reviewed. The first one is a silver version, which I don't think they sell any longer. My review is for the small black, bullet-shaped nose hair trimmer. Came in a small box, with instructions and a little brush.
My Dad lives with me and recently had two strokes. He's contientous about his grooming and hygiene and was using scissors to cut his nose hair and after the strokes, his balance and coordination isnt what it was, and neither of us like the idea of him wielding scissors near his face. He would then have me tweeze his ear hair. (I love my dad--A LOT, but I don't like tweezing hair from his ears--Im a shi**y daughter.)
He asked for one of these and of course, I looked at Amazon for something cheap, cuz they don't make this stuff in the US (probably never did so get off your high horse about it being from China. NEWSFLASH, almost everything we buy here is made in China.)
This one had good--especially the more recent--reviews and it was inexpensive so there ya go. Dad loves it. Uses it daily even though it's not needed. I wanted to test first before handing over to Dad, so I used it right out of the box in my nose and it trimmed a few longer hairs. I don't have old-dude style long nose hair, btw, so I didn't expect it to wildly change my appearance or my life. Dad is happy. I'm happy. Nose/ear hair are no longer an issue. Happy Dad, happy pad!
p.s. I bought this because of the adequate description and pictures, not the reviews. I find that most people who give lousy reviews do so because of ineptness and their unwillingness to accept that, not because of product flaws.
This trimmer, however, is the opposite and I am very happy. It is smaller, better shaped, and runs perfectly. I don't get a feeling that it will degrade as those others did, at all. I am loving it so much I am buying another one for travel and perhaps another for a friend. Thanks for a great product.

There are no attachments or goo-gaws here. Ya got some hair in your ears and/or nose? Turn it on, jam it in and wiggle it about until you stop hearing it hack through said hair.
I recommend the product....seller is responsive, too.
It gets a little hot if you run it too long, but I don't see how that would be a problem under normal circumstances.
